Speak up on sport, recreation and racing

18Jun

Member for Stuart, Dan van Holst Pellekaan MP, is encouraging communities in Stuart to have their say on the future of sport, recreation and racing in South Australia, including on funding opportunities and infrastructure development.

The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is seeking feedback on the following three projects identified as key priorities for the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan:

  • Game on, Getting South Australians Active
  • The South Australian Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Plan
  • The Grants Review

“Whether you are an athlete, spectator, committee member or involved in local government, it is important your voice is heard,” Mr van Holst Pellekaan said.

“We can be very proud of the sport, recreation and racing facilities and programs we have in our electorate, however, there is always room for improvement.

“Your input may help shape policy, improve programs or contribute to the framework used for prioritising projects.”

There are 14 forums being held across the state. Those in or near the electorate of Stuart are:

  • Clare on 26 June 2019
  • Port Pirie on 2 July 2019
  • Port Augusta on 3 July 2019
