SA Environment Awards

22Sep

If you know someone who has made a difference to the environment, then you can help recognise and celebrate their achievements by nominating them for an environment award.

Member for Stuart, Dan van Holst Pellekaan, is encouraging people to consider nominating an individual or group for one of the three awards that are now open for nominations.

“There are so many important environmental assets in our electorate of Stuart and every single one is unique and important.

“There are many people who are passionate about looking after the environment, so please consider who you could nominate for an award.”

The Jill Hudson Award for Environment Protection is in memory of Jillian Hudson whose passion for the environment was passed on to her students. The award will go to someone living in South Australia who, in the past 12 months, has made an outstanding contribution to protecting SA’s environment.

The Conservation Council SA Unsung Hero Award recognises those who have a longstanding commitment to protecting the environment. This award can go to an individual or group.

The Conservation Council SA Young Achiever Award will go to a group or individual aged under 28 who live in South Australia and who, in the past 12 months, has made a significant contribution to protecting SA’s environment.
