.

Project 2 builds on first 90 day Improving Road Transport for the Agriculture Industry, known as Project 1. This second phase aims to further identify key issues and gives the opportunity for
those that missed out in first project to be included, including the forestry, dairy, fresh produce, fisheries and aquaculture sectors.

New ideas on how to improve road transport for primary industries could include upgrades for junctions, bridges and roads.

The survey seeks to address last mile and freight access issues, as well as identify issues relating to the movement of oversize and overmass agricultural machinery on
public roads.

As a result of Project 1, industry has estimated the benefits of reforms for primary producers and transport operators to be at least $56 million.
